The project extension.art represents a zone of free experimentation. Among the project's aims is to mark out channels of free passage for creative ideas between the fields of architecture, academic art, and street art. The project's idea presupposes moving beyond the traditional relationship to the artistic process. We have invited artists, musicians, and choreographers capable of creating their works on the scale of the city, its open surfaces, and its empty spaces, to take part. Becoming part of open public space, a work of art enters into continuous dialogue both with the space itself and with its audience. In the intimate space on Povarskaya Street, a reflection of these ideas and of this continuous creative process finds the possibility of passing from one genre into another, erasing the boundaries between music, dance, and visual art.

In the project extension.art, we are interested in the result of various languages of art moving beyond their existing limits, and in their interaction within the adjacent techniques thus created. Forward into the future and back to the origins are, in the development of the world, by virtue of a circular dependency, one and the same thing.
